Use subtle ways, Barcelona want to expel 3 veteran players

 


Barcelona vice president , Eduard Romeu, says he will be more confident about the Blaugrana's financial future when three old players leave Camp Nou.


When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, Barcelona was hit by a financial crisis. Players are asked to agree to a pay cut.


After the pandemic was over, Barcelona's financial problems continued until the summer transfer window.


Despite the financial problems, Barcelona are still bringing in top players. From Robert Lewandowski to Jules Kunde. While most of it is available for free, it poses a new problem.


Pique, Alba, Busquets Gerard Pique. The 35-year-old Spanish centre-back, who is now entering his 15th season with Barcelona since being withdrawn from Manchester United at the start of the 2008/2009 season, has made a total of 125 appearances in the Champions League with two clubs, Manchester United and Barcelona. Romeu indicated that Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets needed to leave the club for Barcelona 's finances to  stabilize.


"What disappoints us is the amount we spend on player salaries. There is a group that has very high fees and between this season and the next they will disappear," he said.


In response to a question whether he meant the Spanish trio, Romeu was said to have indicated "yes".

Despite remaining a regular starter this season, Busquets is likely to leave Barcelona with his contract expiring at the end of the season.


Despite being linked with MLS, the 34-year-old has yet to discuss his future.


"I can't tell you anything because it's nothing. Nothing despite the rumours. Nothing official. I'll see what I do this season," he said.

Meanwhile, Pique and Alba both have contracts until the end of 2023/24, and Barcelona may need to allow them to leave on a free transfer to tempt other clubs into making bids.


Pique is a player who has given up his salary cut. While Alba is suspected, Inter Milan interested in last August.
